Amethyst – Intuition and Tranquility

Amethyst is the stone of Intuition and Tranquility. Amethyst is believed to relieve stress and soothe irritability and is also known to dispel anger, fear, and anxiety while keeping mood swings in check. Amethyst is also said to activate spiritual awareness and trigger stronger connections and understanding of self intuition, making it easier to trust oneself over decisions and life choices. Amethyst ranges from light to dark shades of lavenders and violets and is a form of quartz, therefore a 7 on the MOHS. It is most commonly found to be grown with or near Citrine. When both citrine and amethyst grow together, it is called ametrine.
